full name: Korê “Cora” Averna Runcorn [Originally named Korê, she changed her name to the simpler Cora because she hated people in the media mispronouncing her name constantly, and being the ministers daughter she was in the media a lot.] Korê is named after her maternal grandmother, sharing a name with her cousin Persephone Sophia Nott. Korê is a often used alternative name for the Greek goddess Persephone; often referring to the goddess before her abduction or during the summer months.

Tristan and Daphne met during their time at horwarts, during their first few years they had a very grudging friendship. As the years passed however it became more and more. Marrying almost directly after graduation the couple didn’t seem to draw much attention to themselves. But quickly, surely and almost unnoticed Tristan, with the careful and cunning help from his wife, he climbed up the so called ‘corporate ladder’ positioning himself careful and perfectly for the events that would happen next that would land him in the most powerful position in the wizarding world, the Minister of Magic, in the fall of 2017. Cora stands at an almost unusually short five feet and three inches making her one of the smallest girls in the school. And she uses that to her advantage, being small make people always underestimate her and she like it that way, because while she might be small her frame is packed tightly with muscles, (Cora spends most of her free time running or swimming when her brothers aren’t putting her threw her paces in their in home sparing room.) but most people don’t suspect such a small girl to have so much power in her small frame. Even less when people consider her upper class upbringing.
Aside from her small yet sturdy frame Cora sports pale ivory skin and soft golden blonde hair and intense dusty blue eyes. Cora’s appearance is something she thinks about very carefully and many would assume it is one of the only things she cares about (though they would be wrong) because of how much time she spends on it. Everything Cora puts on is thought about to an extreme extent, even her pajamas. Cora believes clothing and styling are critical to how she is preserved and even when styling her hair; every hair is placed with extreme care and every outfit tells a specific story she wants to tell.

Cora is take-charge person. She has such a clear vision of the way that things should be, that she naturally steps into leadership roles. She is self-confident and aggressive. Biography
childhood and pre-hogwarts:
Korê Averna Runcorn was born on the a bitterly cold morning of October 31st, 2006 into the warm and loving arms of Tristan and Daphne Runcorn. Her early years when spent in almost a chaotic mix of tutors teaching her the primary school basics, her parents teaching her defensive basics and her brother making sure she knew how to apply those techniques, though they didn’t know it at the time. Any free time she had she spent playing the violin or running, they only time she ever had on her own. She also spent a lot of time at the Malfoy, Nott and Montague manners seeing as they where family and friends of the family and she developed hard and fast relationships with Hector, Theodore and Scorpius and to a lesser extent Sophia. Korê would not have changed it for anything in the world. Well perhaps one thing. When she was 8 her father seemed to take a more visible roll in the political world, which in turn threw her family into the magazines and tabloids. Korê overall didn’t mind, and after only a few mishaps became completely comfortable in the spotlight, and at a very young age was able to wield and harness her image is ways even people twice her age couldn’t manage. But one thing always bothered her. No one could pronounce her name correctly. Not a single one; and it wasn’t even like it was hard! Co-Ree not Cor-ray or Core, but the worst was Kay-or-ee! that didn’t even make sense! So after a few months of thought and research Korê went away and Cora emerged. Cora just another spelling of her original name (luckily she was named after a Greek goddess and they always had several names for each deity) and it was pronounced pretty much just like it was spelled. And Cora found that very important.
hogwarts years:
Cora was extremely nervous and excited for her first year of school. But as she sat through the sorting ceremony the excited turned more and more into nervousness as she watched all her friends and family get sorted (for the most part) into Slytherin and with each name called she calculated her chances of getting into the house that had housed her mother, and her brothers; and with each name called the chances seemed to diminish at a rapid pace. When her name was finally called she was sure she wouldn’t be placed where she wanted. But her fears where misguided, there was not even a second though in the sorting hat before it placed her into Slytherin.
Cora’s early years where easy for her, she excelled in her classes and quickly climbed her way up the social hierarchy. Something that was solidified completely early in her second year when the Minister’s position was suddenly shrouded in controversy and almost as suddenly her father took over the position of Minister of Magic.
Cora treated her schooling very seriously, excelling in her classes and overall just doing her best to make her family proud. And she continues this same pattern as she enters her 5th year of schooling.
